AARO members at the May meeting unanimously agreed to join San Antonio Radio Club (SARC) at the City of Shavano Park City Hall Pavilion for the annual ARRL Field Day. This will ensure higher turnout and allow us to share in the ammenities such as restrooms and refreshments.

The area is shaded under a large breezy wooden canopy where fans should be present to keep the heat managable. The official event starts at 1PM, but people may begin showing up around noon to get settled in and prepared.

If you aren’t licensed by the FCC, Field Day is for you too! We will have licensed operators present to instruct you on proper equipment use and allow you to get on the air! You’re welcome to get an Associate Membership and enjoy food, conversation, and learning about amateur radio equipment and licensing.
